Ortiz

G4S appointed Cris S. Ortiz as country general manager for G4S in Guam the Northern Mariana Islands. 

He was previously country finance director for G4S and formerly director of financial services at Guam Regional Medical City, beginning his career in Guam in 2003.

Ortis holds a 1997 bachelors of science in accountancy from San Sebastian College -Recoletos de Cavite, and completed the G4S Asia Pacific Regional Leadership program in 2021. 

He is also certified public accountant in the U.S. and the Philippines and is a chartered global management accountant.

 

Taijeron

The Marianas Visitors Authority has appointed Jamika Reyes Taijeron as managing director of the Marianas Visitors Authority. 

She prevously worked for DFS Group Ltd. in Saipan for 15 years, most recently as assistant general manager for operations.

Taijeron also owned the Salt and Barber in Saipan and prior to that was an operations manager at Hawaii Digital and a consumer banker at the Bank of Hawaii in Hawaii. 

A graduate of Northern Marianas College, she continued her education at Kapi’olani Community College and holds a 2024 bachelors of business administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Ala.

 

Aguon

P. Tim Aguon has been appointed CEO/executive manager of the Guam Transit Authority. 

Augon has served as special assistant to the Governor of Guam as homeland security advisor, led the Guam Veterans Affairs Office as director, and served as the transportation operations manager at DZSP 21. 

He was a senior master sergeant of the U.S. Air Force, who retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 2020 after 30 years of service.

 

Leon Guerrero

Atkins Kroll Inc. has appointed Jacob Leon Guerrero business development center manager.

Leon Guerrero was previously director of waterpark operations at the Pacific Islands Club Guam and formerly assistant director of Food and Beverage.

He holds a 2011 bachelor’s in business management from the University of Guam.

 

Docomo Pacific has made the following appointments: 

Byerly

Crena Byerly as senior vice president of the Enterprise Sales division. 

She has 20 years of telecom experience and is one of the region's few undersea cables subject matter experts. 

Before joining Docomo Pacific, she was the vice president of Enterprise Sales at GTA – TeleGuam Holdings LLC and began her career in Guam in the hospitality industry.

Crisostomo

Gene Crisostomo as senior vice president of the Technology Division. 

He will oversee the Fixed & Mobile Networks, NOC, and Converged Networks. Crisostomo previously was the vice president of network operations at GTA and has more than 29 years of experience in the telecom industry. 

Torre

Keo Torre as vice president of consumer marketing. 

Torre was first appointed to Docomo Pacific in 2014 as marketing coordinator rising through various positions to Enterprise Propositions manager. Torre began his career in marketing at Citibank in 2013. 

He holds a 2014 bachelors of business administration from the University of Guam.

 

LLC announced the following promotions and appointments:

Oshima

Mari Oshima has been promoted to director of sales for the Japan market, while maintaining her role as director of guest services. She has more than two decades of experience at Baldyga Group, having been with the company since 2004. 

“Annie” Young Joo has been promoted from assistant director of sales and marketing to director of sales and marketing. Joo joined the sales department in 2013.

She holds a 2012 bachelor’s in business management from the University of Guam.

Velasco

Randolph Velasco has been appointed group director of operations, after serving as director of food and beverage. Randolph, who joined the Baldyga Group in 2022, brings global experience from hotel brands including Raffles and Intercontinental, with operations experience spanning Manila, Singapore, and Dubai.

Velasco holds a degree in business management from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. 

White

Nicholas White has been promoted to technical director. With 16 years of experience as a professional audio engineer, White has worked on diverse projects, including Off-Broadway productions, the Electric Daisy Carnival, and with artists such as Maroon 5, Blackpink, and Miley Cyrus. 

White holds a 2005 bachelors of arts in history from California State University.

 

GTA has announced the following appointments:

Flores

April Flores as senior director of customer support, leading the contact center, technical support, and customer retention teams. She has more than 15 years of experience at GTA, primarily in Product Management, and prior experience as a Systems Engineer at IBSS. 

Flores holds a bachelors of applied science and computer science from the University of Guam and completed the high impact leadership program at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in 2020. 

Pagdilao

Wilsen Pagdilao as director of RAN Wireless. 

He has been in the telecommunications industry since 1996. After moving to Guam in 2000, he joined GTA in 2012 as an MTX Technician.

Pagdilao holds a bachelors in electronics communication engineering technology from the Philippines. 

Choi

Wonsock Choi as senior IT manager. 

His expertise includes database management, programming, and technology architecture analysis, developed through roles such as IT Development manager and appointments in systems analysis.  He has more than 12 years in the telecommunications industry.

Choi holds a 2012 masters in science from King’s College London and a 2006 bachelors in computer science from the University of Guam.

Ranoa

Jihan Muzada-Ranoa as senior product manager.

She previously worked at IT&E after relocating to Guam.

Her career appointments in the Philippines included assistant marketing manager at Power Mac Center, the Apple reseller in the Philippines, which led her to work with Apple Singapore. Prior to that she was senior marketing manager for events and sponsorships at SM Development Corp. in Manila from 2012 for six years. 

Muzada-Ranoa holds a 2006 bachelor’s in advertising from San Lorenzo Assumption College. She is also a licensed Secondary School Teacher, having completed the Early Childhood Education Program at Assumption Graduate School.

Muzada-Ranoa has been recognized with the Award of Merit for Communication Management in Customer Relations from the Philippine Quill Awards, the Brand Activation and Cost Efficiency Award, a Bronze Award for Marketing Effectiveness from the Philippine Association of National Advertisers, and an Anvil Award for Public Relations. 

Blas

Shadene Blas as senior manager of consumer sales. 

Her experience includes roles as CX Digital Transformation specialist, implementation product manager, and consumer government manager. Blas has been with GTA for more than 12 years, progressing from a cashier when she joined the company. 

Taitano

Kersha Taitano as manager of community relations. 

She previously was community relations specialist and formerly corporate relations coordinator with GTA, having worked in sales and marketing prior to her appointment to GTA.

Taitano holds a 2020 bachelors of business administration in marketing from Seattle Pacific University. 

Garrido

Shaun Garrido as manager of technical support.

Garrido joined GTA in 2016 as a TAC/smart technician.

 

Guam Regional Medical City has announced the following appointments.

Au

Dr. Kin-Sing Au as radiation oncologist.

He previously served as medical director of the Island Cancer Center from 2013 and formerly was clinical director of radiation oncology from 1991 at the Invova Loudoun Hospital in Virginia. Prior to that he served as chief resident in radiation oncology at the University of Arizona Health Science Center. 

Au graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital.

Au also was chairman of the Cancer Committee at Inova Loudoun Hospital and served as the Cancer Liaison physician for the hospital’s cancer program. His work contributed to the hospital receiving multiple accreditations.

Rassameehiran

Dr. Supannee “Jill” Rassameehiran. 

She is a gastroenterologist, hepatologist and liver transplant specialist, treating patients with conditions that affect the stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas.

Rassameehiran pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in hepatology, focusing on liver diseases, liver transplantation, and liver cancer care, completed advanced training at institutions including Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. 

She earned her medical degree in Thailand and practiced in the U.S. mainland, where she worked at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital in Washington.

Rhee

Dr. Jee Ah “Christina” Rhee, as pulmonologist and intensivist

She joins GRMC after several years of practice in the U.S. mainland.

Her training includes board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, and a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care medicine from New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

 

Tudela

Vanessa Tudela, medical-surgical manager, is GRMC’s 2024 Employee of the Year. 

Tudela’s career at GRMC started eight years ago when she joined the hospital as a Maternal-Child Intensive Care Unit registered nurse, while working at another outpatient clinical positon.

She transitioned to Pediatrics/PICU and the emergency department and other specialties, also working as a clinical nurse educator, an SME/EHR instructor, and helped with nursing initiatives and data collection in the medical-surgical department.
