Bank scores big with MarCom awards

Bank of Guam received eight MarCom awards for excellence in marketing and communications. The awards recognized BOG’s television appearances, special events, and media placements among other integrated marketing initiatives. The marketing and communication award program recognizes work submitted across various categories.

Docomo Pacific debuted Inetnon Gefpå’go’s newest song, “Tasi-hu,” at the telecom company’s Micronesia Mall store.

Engineering group recognized by ESGR

The Pacific Engineering Group & Services was selected as a finalist for the 2025 Secretary of Defense Employer Support and Freedom award – the highest honor given by the U.S. Government to employers who demonstrated exceptional support for their National Guard or Reserve employees.

Video advertisements by Bank of Guam recognized

Bank of Guam received six Viddy awards for several of its video advertisements. Several awards went to its “Solid” Online Banking television commercial, which aired during Super Bowl LVII with more going to two other commercials and several short social media promoting its Hagåtña City Run and Block Party. The Viddy awards, which judge submitted videos, is a decade-old program.

Power authority recognized for operating safety

The Guam Power Authority has earned the American Public Power Association’s Safety Award for Excellence for safe operating practices in 2024. Entrants for the are placed in accordance with their number of worker-hours and ranked based on the most incident-free records and overall state of safety programs.

ESGR names Patriot awardee

Joseph Shinohara II, chief financial officer at GTA; was awarded the ESGR “My Boss is a Patriot” award by the Guam-CNMI Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

SBA 2025 Small Business Person for Guam named

Robert Salas II, president of Pacific Federal Management Inc. was named the Guam Small Business Administration’s 2025 Business Person of the Year. 

The SBA recognizes small businesses around the U.S. and its territories annually.
