Restaurants, shops and businesses recently opened in the region

The Shady Lady
Opened: November 2018
Location: Guam Financial Center, Harmon Loop
Hours: 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday to Thursday; 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday; and 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday
Owners: Thomas Peinhopf and Lizzet Martinez  The Shady Lady is a bar with a relaxed, lounge-like atmosphere and Victorian touches to its interior décor. The bar offers nightly specials as well as a “Charming Hour” Tuesday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., which includes all you can drink beer, Moscow mules, Aperol spritzes and sangria for $22 with a complimentary jello shot for the ladies. On Thursday nights, the special is offered again from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. during “Reversed Charming Hour.”
Threads Guam Dededo
Opened: June 1
Location: Macheche Plaza
Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday
Owner: Corina RiveraThe third location for locally owned clothing store chain Threads Guam aims to bring a variety
of the latest women’s apparel, footwear, clutches and accessories to Dededo. Offerings include
dresses, jumpsuits, joggers and tops in a variety of prints, colors and styles.
Red Lobster
Opened: July 1
Location: Tumon Sands Plaza
Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily
Manager: Frank TrefascoThe Guam location for the American seafood chain brings menu items such as Maine lobsters,
crab and shrimp prepared in various ways as well as its signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Unique
Guam items on its menu include shrimp kelaguen and local craft beer.
Poki-Fry Harmon
Opened: July 16
Location: Route 16 across from the Micronesia Mall
Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday (temporary hours)
Owners: Bryan Duenas and Peter PerezLocally owned restaurant Poki-Fry opened a second location, bringing to Harmon its menu that
spans various types of poki bowls as well as seafood, pork, beef and poultry-based rice bowls,
tacos and sandwiches. A variety of beer is also available.
